The phrase ‘There is no freedom in Christ under Christian nationalism’ points to the way that religion, stripped of its inner essence and bound to political agendas, hijacks the journey of inner liberation, keeping us bound to the demiurgic forces of deception that bind the soul. And under Christian nationalism, that journey of liberation is replaced with the demand for conformity to a collective identity of authoritarian rigidity and spiritual bondage, where loyalty to Pharisaic ideology, imperialistic and nationalistic worldviews, and counterfeit authority figures (that are deeply unconscious in their own ways of human being and stagnant in their own journeys of growth and transformation) masquerades around as devotion to God.

But true freedom in Christ, that divine force of liberation, it breaks us free from those psychological and spiritual yokes of deception that keep us enslaved to the chains of Pharisaic legalism, nationalistic dogma, and the conformity we may still have to the corrupt political, economic, and religious structures of this world, or to the men and women who embody the corruption of these very fallen earthly systems, with their entrenched blind loyalty to the regressing institutions of a devolving human order. And it is precisely these ties of conformity and allegiance to fallen earthly powers that places crushing chains upon the soul, keeping us bound to the counterfeit systems of false-light religion, and also to the authoritarian societal power constructs that have led to our own spiritual enslavement. But if we want to be truly free in the spirit, it only comes from being released from those energetic shackles of spiritual enslavement that I have mentioned above, where the lived reality of Christ’s liberating power unfolds, which then blossoms into an inward movement of psychospiritual transformation and expansion within us.

And it is through this very release from captivity into Christ’s freedom that we come to finally embody who we truly are in our most authentic identities of integrity, discernment, and conscience, where we are no longer stifled by the suffocating rule of false-light powers, or the collective pressures of the spirit-crushing tyrannical systems that are trying to rule this world. But instead, we are allowed to flourish in the full vitality, depth, and potential of our own psychospiritual sovereignty, higher faculties of wisdom, thought, and discernment, and the authentic essence of our God-given being, beyond the control of counterfeit authorities and the corrupt structures of the fallen systems of religion, nation, and empire.
